Design and verification of an exercise program for swimmers according to the method of Spiral Stabilization of the Spine
LANDAUEROVÁ, Martina
The graduation thesis deals with the design and verification of an exercise program to improve the posture of competitive swimmers in the category of younger adolescents. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the anatomical overview of the skeletal and muscular system, it also deals with the effects of competitive swimming on the musculoskeletal system, the characteristics of compensatory exercises and Spiral stabilization of the spine. Content analysis, synthesis, and standardized test for posture according to Jaroš and Lomíček were used in this graduation thesis. The group of test subjects consisted of 2 boys and 4 younger girls from the Příbram Swimming Club. Based on the results of the initial testing, an exercise program was designed according to the Spiral Stabilization of the Spine method. Subsequently, the 10 minute exercise was applied 6 times per week for 3 months. Afterwards, output testing which was identical to the input testing was performed and changes were compared. Posture was improved in all swimmers examined. The verification of the exercise program can be considered successful. This thesis can serve as a base for swimming coaches in determining compensatory exercises.
Stimulation of speed during the racing season in the junior hockey category extralig
Bícha, Mikuláš ; Arnošt, Pavel (advisor) ; Kregl, Jan (referee)
Title: Speed stimulation during the ice hockey season in a category of younger cadets Objectives: The main purpose of this Bachelor Thesis is to discover the effectiveness of the two-month plan focused on the speed progress during the ice hockey season 2017/2018 in a category of younger cadets. Tasks: Based on the literature review, prepare a two-month speed practise program and apply it during the ice hockey season in a category of younger cadets, Do motor tests which evaluate a state of motor abilities, Compare results of the motor tests between individual players and dates of the testing, Find out the effectiveness of the six-month speed practise program. Methods: The research was realized using a motor testing method. Hypotheses: H1: I presume that there will be an improvement in the speed tests on ice. H2: I presume that there will be a great improvement in the speed tests on the ground. H3: I presume that there will be an association between the improvement on the ice and on the ground. Results: Average improvement can be noticed in speed test running up the stairs (0,17 second +  0,32). The results of the other two tests did not prove a great improvement. Conclusion: Contrary to earlier expectations, only one of the set out hypothesis was confirmed as valid. Keywords: Speed Practise, Ice...

Title: Development of agility during on-ice and off-ice trainings for ice hockey players in the youth category. Objectives: This diploma thesis is mainly focusing on verify whether off-ice training or on-ice training is more effective and cause better agility improvement on the ice. Another goal of the thesis is to experimentally verify if there is a motoric transfer to agility on ice due to agility training off the ice. Methods: In this experiment, I had seven participants divided into two separated groups. The task for the groups was to undergo two, one month training programs, on - ice and off - ice. Results were measured by method of quantitative analysis of motoric test results. Results: In both of the monitored groups, the results were improved in two out of six tests. For the research, the participants were divided into two groups. Both groups completed a month long training program on ice and off ice. In the direct 6.1m sprint test, direct 35m sprint and S - Corner, the results did not change. In the slalom-puck test, a difference was found in the Cohen d values between the group which began only on ice and in the group that was beginning office after both periods. The result of the reaction test was by Cohen's d same as in the slalom-puck test. Keywords: Ice hockey, agility, training,...
